I've written another iPhone app! It's written in AS3 and published with Adobe AIR. I'm now in the process of learning the pure app language of Objective-C! There is so much more to come! I'll post a link once I publish everything to the iTunes store. Stay tuned.
So far I've only played the online multiplayer, but I have to say that the Call of duty franchise has out done themselves again. The new weapons are great! The new kill rewards are amazing as well and the graphics are breath-taking.
There are many new teams as well, and the new maps are very well laid out.
The sound effects are much more realistic - everything from the language to the grenade explosions bring you much deeper into your gaming experience.
As you guys know the last charity auction website wasn't as big a success as it could have been...
However, after tons of research and devlopment. I'm proud to announce the launch of http://www.penniesforpalsy.com. Please check it out and let me know what you think.
Pennies For Palsy is a charity auction site, similar to a silent or Chinese Auction, where people buy tickets or bids and use them to bid on the items that they want from our catalog. The only difference is that its a traditional auction format in the sense that the last bidder for a given auction is the winner, and not the most tickets submitted for an item wins.
Users of the site log in/register, purchase their bids (in packages with bonus free bids to bring the value up!) and get right to it! Users also have the ability to earn free bids. For example, users can get free bids by doing things as simple as logging on each day or voting on posts in the community section; both earn you one free bid each. Then, at certain times during the month Pennies for Palsy will auction a free item: members can then use their free bids, and shipping is always free! A cool way of saying, "thanks!"
Auction types:
1. Fixed Price Auctions - Set Price Auctions are exactly what they sound like. Basically, the price of the item is set and no matter what the bid price goes to, the winner will only pay the Set Price for that item. So, let's say the Sony Vaio Laptop is a Set Price Auction with a Set Price of just $20.00. The bidding will start at 10 Cents and for every bid placed the price goes up 10 cents and up to 20 seconds is added to the countdown clock. Even if the final bid comes in at $450.00, the winner will still only pay the $20.00 Set Price for the Sony Vaio Laptop!
2. Totally Free Auctions - These auctions are totally free to the winner. No matter what the winning bid price is, the winner will not pay anything for that item. It's Totally Free!
3. One Cent Auctions - On One Cent Auctions, instead of the item starting at 10 cents and going up 10 cents with each bid, Once Cent Auction Items start at just 1 Cent and with every bid placed, go up just 1 cent.
4. Night Auctions - These are set auctions that only run for a limited amount of time at night. These can also be a combination of the above as well...
5. We also have the "Buy it Now" section on the site, where you can redeem your bids without competing with others, just redeem your bids and get your stuff!
