Second Round - I'm Starting Small for now.
Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11:57AM The opening of the auction site was rocky at best. Not all the features of the site were working, and there was a security breach by hackers. But, all-in-all the auctions site is making a difference. With a little bit of work it will be up and running again shortly.
I plan on starting small. Before, I thought I would go for the gusto and immediately list the high end electronics and well sought after items, but that proved to be too much to handle at once.
The new plan is to start small with video games, DVDs, small cameras, hand held consoles and other cool things. The new auction format will be a "fixed price auction." This is where a $50 video game would be listed at $20 for example, and instead of each bid raising the price of the auction, the latest bidder will win the item at that fixed price ($20) when the auction ends.
This new format seems to be the best at the moment while the site gains momentum - then the re-introduction of the "Penny Auction" will happen.
What do you think? Thank you for your continued support, and sorry for the delay!
I'll keep you posted on any progress. It takes more than a few hackers to keep me from achieving a dream.
