I called the exterminator! - Auction Site Bugs are Fixed!
Monday, July 13, 2009 at 9:05AM The web development company helping has just informed me that all the features and the security are up to date and working as they should!
Just give me a few days to restock the site and refund everyones bids, and we'll be up and running again!
Remember the fraudulent bidders? Using their IP information and the combination of some law enforcement contacts and a few techy-geek friends of mine...we found one of the three hackers and there is a good chance he will be going to jail for fraud. The others who hacked my site, are sill under investigation, but the authorities are hot on their trail, thanks to our detective work.
Even with all this going on, the site raised $300.00 for charity - the short time it was up and running. I brought a check over to my local UCP location on June 30th. But, in retrospect, I should have taken a picture of the "handing over the check" ceremony - next time; it wasnt that glorious, I wrote the check and handed it to the representative, she thanked me, then her manager came over and I told them both about the site and my long term goals. After a few more thank yous, a hand shake and a "good luck" from them both, the deal was done...I have to say, I felt REALLY GOOD - thanks to you!!
Maybe I should get one of those HUGE checks and take a picture (probably cost just as much for the huge check as I'm donating...lol).
I'll continue to keep you posted!
Thanks again!!

uh where did your profit come from if your site was "hacked" and you refunded everyone's bids?
The income comes mainly from users who purchase bids to bid on items. By refunding their bids, I mean, I place the bid vouchers back into their account - so they can use them again, rather than paying for more bids.
